Peer Leadership Forum 2020

Updated: Apr 11, 2022

In December I was asked to speak at the Peer Leadership Forum supported by Aids Vancouver Island. It's my first speaking engagement, and I was SO nervous and felt underprepared, but I did my best. Here are some of the comments:

“Very powerful. WOW! You spoke to many of my concerns regarding folks I see every day. You have definitely impacted my approach and understanding. Thank you!”

“Love how you've been able to respond to a huge gap in service delivery. Your commitment and devotion is remarkable!” You can check it out here - the video is on YouTube - which makes me feel pretty vulnerable. Haha. I'm now working on developing a workshop for organizations that work with and support those with c-PTSD. If your organization is interested in booking one with me, send me an email. Picture is by Jenni Fehr - a Visual Recording of my presentation. Isn't it amazing? UPDATE APRIL 11 2021: The course is now available online here!

Hi Seraphina,

I had the privilege of assisting at the recent Existence Project presentation, hosted by Congregation Emanu-el, where you were the keynote speaker. I was already blown away by the whole of your presentation, from it's content to your choice of language, from your obvious empathy with the subjects, to your confidence in yourself and the material; it has only deepened my admiration to learn, while exploring your web site, that you only began speaking in public in Jan 2020. Kol haKavod (all honour to you) Seraphina, your personal success demonstrates the immense power of the message you are teaching. Thank you for this opportunity to learn and grow.

Be Well, Ruthi, (aka Lesley)

President Emerita, Congregation Emanu-El
